Additional Activities for You and Your Guests
Weddings can be a stressful time for all and the beauty about a wedding at Kingfisher Bay is that you can do as much or as little as you like.
Ask our Weddings Coordinator about our ideas for Buck's nights (anything from fishing charters to 4WD-ing on the largest sand island in the world); Hen's nights (ahhhh spoil yourselves with some spa-time and pampering); pre-wedding breakfasts and get togethers, elopments, babymoons or even family activities during your down time.
Ranger Guided Walks and Talks
Our friendly Resort Rangers love the island as much as you will and are on hand to give you plenty of information about tides, traffic and conditions to help you get the most of your visit.
As an added bonus our daily walks, talks and activity program will teach you about the natural and cultural features of Fraser Island in a fun environment. Grab a What's On Guide on arrival at the resort or download one from Kingfisher Bay Resort website.
We even run a Junior Eco Rangers program for children that allows them to learn about nature in a fun environment.
Take to the tracks and explore Fraser's western side and inland tracks... but don't forget to take time to smell the wild flowers.
Kingfisher Bay has a number of self-guided walks and hikes in and around the resort including the 90-kilometre Fraser Island Great Walk that runs from Dilli Village to Happy Valley... and our Resort Ranger team are only too happy to point you in the right direction.
The calm waters of the Great Sandy Strait provide the perfect spot to swim, canoe, fish and just enjoy being outdoors.
Resort Rangers guide daily canoe paddles to the Dundonga Creek mangrove colony, teach novices how to fish and can help with bait, tackle and fishing rod hire... they also know where the fish are biting!
