When Craig Dover, 27 met Steph Rowan, 25, it wasn't case of falling in love with 'the girl next door' as much as the 'girl down the street'. "We met through mutual friends in 2009," Steph recalls.

"Craig was living with his brother in the same street that I lived in with my parents so we had both seen each other in passing, weren't officially introduced until a night out with friends."

After dating for six years, Craig chose a favourite holiday spot, The Pass Look Out at Byron Bay, to pop the question. "Craig had asked me to turn around and look out at the view to recreate a photo we had taken on our first trip to Byron years earlier," Steph said.

"When I turned back to look at the camera, he was on one knee looking up at me with the ring."

Craig and Steph's two families came together with close friends in April, to watch Steph and Craig tie the knot at Kingfisher Bay Resort on Fraser Island.

Steph looked amazing in a full lace gown with a silk underlay, sweetheart neckline and capped sleeves. The gown had a slight Mermaid shape with a high illusion back and lace covered buttons down to the zipper, complete with a chapel train.

The couple married on the resort's private Sunset Beach, and celebrated with an outdoor reception at the dingo den. "The outdoor ceremony and reception was amazing," Steph said.

"The guests loved the more relaxed feel- and being barefoot!"

"Having a sand dance floor, fire pits and the yellow globe lights were the perfect touches."

The couple hired two houses close by to the ceremony location, and said it was a great opportunity to relax and celebrate with friends and family before the wedding.

"We loved having everyone together for the weekend."

The island-hopping love birds flew north for their honeymoon, enjoying a romantic escape to Hamilton Island before returning to their home in Brisbane.
