Brisbane couple David Tait and Casey Barker shared a passion for travel, so they could think of no better way to start their lives together than with a destination wedding on Fraser Island.

Gladstone couple Casey Green and Luke Brushe met in 2012 and immediately knew they had found their perfect match. In November that year, the pair took a holiday to Fraser Island and while strolling along the jetty at Kingfisher Bay Resort, having enjoyed a romantic dinner at Seabelle Restaurant, Luke proposed to his bride to be.

Ashleigh and Daniel have travelled to islands all over the world- in 2014 the pair got engaged in Hawaii. So when it came time to pick the perfect spot for a wedding, they combined their wedding with an island get-away and said "I do" on the white sandy beaches of Fraser Island at Kingfisher Bay Resort.

Kingfisher Bay Resort has scooped the 'Best QLD Resort Reception Venue' gong for the third year running at the prestigious 2016 Australian Bridal Industry Academy awards.

Whether you want to elope with your sweetheart or party your pants off with your favourite friends and relatives, our resort team have the weddings know how to plan and turn your destination wedding into an EXTRA special day - it's one of the reasons we were named Best Qld Resort Reception venue for the third year in the row at the 2016 Australian Bridal Industry Academy awards.

When it comes to planning a wedding few things are as important as the bridal gown. But how do you get to capture incredible beach wedding photos like these and still save the dress? One savvy Fraser Island bride has come up with the perfect idea.

Our couples choose Fraser Island as their wedding destination for a variety of reasons. For some it's where they met, became engaged or holidayed as kids. Some are after a destination celebration that they can share with their loved ones long after the ceremony is over. And for others, like Monique and Tim, they have an intrinsically personal connection to the place.

This 'Friday Fraser wedding' was a showstopper: The bride was a vision in white... and the groom and his men were resplendent in suit jackets with a touch of the tropics.

When Mr Fraser proposed to his beautiful English rose it was a bit of a no-brainer as to where they'd eventually marry... Fraser Island of course!
